3-chloro-2-methylaniline, a kind of important material to synthesize pesticide and dyestuff and it is also used to manufacture BAS-514H and DB-50. The molecular formula for it is C7H8ClN. The potential of an on-line combination of supported liquid membrane extraction and liquid chromatography for the determination of aniline derivatives in environmental water samples has been investigated. Calibrations were linear in the 0.1–1 μg L?1 range, with good correlation coefficients (r>.997). Detection limits were in the range 0.005–0.015 μg L?1.
