Are they as good as MSCs?
If so, for what. Shouldn't there be more direct comparisons of functionality in vivo?

DPSCs have been shown to not only have the same multipotent powers as MSCs, but can also differentiate into neural crest-derived cells (non-mesenchymal cell types), which may make them even more powerful than MSCs. However, MSCs may be more readily available in larger numbers... Really, a lot more characterization is needed before we understand DPSCs and their full potential, I think.
